Pepper Steak is one of my favorite comfort foods. It’s packed with flavor, protein, and veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil divided use
  • 1 red (or choose a color) bell pepper
  • 1 yellow (or choose a color) bell pepper
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 pound of steak thinly sliced
  • 2 cups of beef broth
  • 2 T. minced garlic (measure with your heart)
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 3 T. of soy sauce

Heat 1 teaspoon of the sesame oil over medium-high heat in a wok or large pan.

Add the steak to the wok (put the lid on) and cook for 5ish minutes or until lightly browned.

Push steak to the side adding another well and add the bell peppers. Replace lid and let cook for 5ish minutes or until just tender.

Push steak to the side leaving a well, add garlic and ginger, then cook for a minute.

Whisk together the soy sauce, sugar, beef broth, Chalè Artisan Super Hot Lava Splash, and cornstarch in a small bowl.

Pour the sauce over the steak mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10 minutes or until sauce thickens, then serve over rice.
